Genital Warts

Initial Stages of Genital Warts

stages of genital wartsGenital warts are virus, which shows up in the initial stage as abnormal skin growth. As told earlier, human papilloma virus, the abbreviated name HPV, causes it. In the case of genital warts, small innocuous bumps appear on the skin of the infected person. In many cases, these bumps go unnoticed since they are painless. This happens to be the main problem in the treatment or cure of genital warts. If these initial bumps are noticed and diagnosed at the early stage itself, immediate steps taken for the treatment of genital wart would have resulted in complete cure.

After initial stage passes away, there may be discharge associated with genital warts. When this happens, chances of its spreading increases. Multiple warts become noticeable in a matter of few days and it starts manifesting in many places in the body.

Other initial symptoms one may notice include bleeding, pain, odor, redness and itching in the affected areas. Different symptoms manifest itself in different persons. Some time symptoms are present whereas the wart is not present and at times warts are present without any of the symptoms mentioned above.

Genital warts when they are visible to naked eye, are soft and tender to touch, moist, small pink or gray polyps. These warts are found in clusters and thrive in moist and warm surroundings.

Genital warts are difficult to detect unless they are grown to a size visible. Even if they are not visible, genital wart is highly contagious and infects others through contact.

It is seen that a healthy body is able to get rid of the warts of its own in its own time. That is how many warts disappear without any treatment. At times it has been seen that a person takes time to realize that the presence of a wart, which he is used to, is no longer there.
